Multi-walled carbon nanotubes
Multi-walled carbon nanotubes
This CVD-reactor is designed for the catalytic synthesis of bulk and film samples arrays of multi-walled carbon nanotubes (CNT), graphite and graphene layers on various types of substrates up to 3x3 cm2. Formation of CVD coating method is due to the flow on the heated surface of the heterogeneous processes of decomposition products of metal chemical compounds and carbon-containing organometallic compounds present in the reaction chamber in the gaseous state. CVD-technique is widely used in scientific experiments to produce new materials and coatings. Thus, this method since 1994, is widely used to produce various types of CNT and related materials. Laboratory of NanoElectroMagnetics is producing multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) for scientific goals. The average diameter of the produced MWCNT is 30-40 nm, their length is from 100 up to 1000 microns.
